ARTICLE SUMMARIES FOR PAPER
You will be responsible for writing three article summaries on the topic of your paper. The article summaries must
be at least 300 to 500 words in length, typewritten, and written in YOUR own words. Spelling, grammar and structure will be
evaluated as well as content. Be sure to choose an article that is long enough to provide you with enough information to make
an adequate summary. I am particularly interested in seeing the main idea and main points of evidence summarized in your article.
You may choose your articles from scientific publications such as the following American Scientist, Nature, Natural
History, Audubon, Scientific American, or Ecology. All of these publications are found in the CBC library. YOU MAY NOT CHOOSE
ARTICLES FROM THE NEWSPAPER, LADIES HOME JOURNAL, OR OTHER NONSCIENTIFIC PUBLICATIONS. YOU MAY NOT TURN IN SUMMARIES FROM
AN INTERNET SITE. YOU MAY HOWEVER, TURN IN SUMMARIES FROM SCIENTIFIC PUBLICATIONS THAT ARE PUBLISHED ON THE INTERNET OR FROM
THE EBSCO HOST.
THESE ARTICLE SUMMARIES WILL BE DUE ON 18 January 2010.
YOU MUST TURN IN A COPY OF THE ARTICLE WITH YOUR SUMMARY.
ADDITIONAL ARTICLE SUMMARIES
